The Fine tip is the narrowest in Tombow's water brush range, built for detail work rather than broad coverage — tiny botanical illustrations, fine shadow lines, or pulling a controlled amount of water into a small area without flooding the surrounding paper. It also works well for turning a solid marker line into a soft, shaded calligraphic stroke: touching the wet tip to a dry marker line lifts and softens the ink right where it's applied.

The barrel is a refillable water reservoir, and squeezing it pushes a small amount of fresh water through to flush the bristles between colors, so the tip can go from a dark shade to a light one on the same piece without needing a separate rinse cup.
