Twenty colors covering a well-rounded spectrum for landscape, still life, and general illustration work. The Caran d'Ache Luminance 6901 20-set expands on core primaries and secondaries with intermediate tones — including Phthalo Blue, Russet, Slate Grey, and raw earth shades — reducing the need to manually mix every transitional value. The 3.8mm wax-and-oil core lays down clean and rich straight from the pencil, with no wax bloom and a buttery texture that responds well to heavy layering.

Housed in a metal tin with internal alignment trays, the set keeps pencils organized and tips protected. A practical mid-range studio set for art students and independent illustrators who want meaningful color variety without jumping straight to the larger professional collections.

All colors certified under the ASTM D-6901 lightfastness standard for long-term pigment permanence.
