The Sakura XS125 mechanical pencil uses a 0.5 mm lead, calibrated for the kind of fine, controlled linework drafting and technical sketching call for — hair-thin keylines, cross-hatching, and detail work where a slightly thicker lead would blur the precision. Thin lead like this is also the most prone to snapping under pressure, so the pencil has an internal spring cushion built into the clutch that gives slightly when you push down hard, absorbing the shock instead of letting it crack the core.

The tip is a fixed 4 mm metal guide sleeve, long enough to stay visible and stable when you're working along a ruler, curve, or drafting template. The grip is ribbed plastic for finger control, and it comes with a pocket clip and a refillable eraser under the top cap.
