This is a full starting kit rather than just a set of paints — alongside a 12-color palette in 12 ml tubes, it includes an A4 pad of heavy mixed-media paper, two synthetic brushes, and a multi-well mixing tray, so there's nothing extra to buy before starting a first piece. A graphite pencil is included for sketching outlines before painting over them, plus a kneadable eraser for cleaning those guide lines up, and a step-by-step project guide for anyone working through their first gouache piece without prior experience.

That makes it suited to gifting, a classroom starter kit, or anyone picking up gouache for the first time who doesn't already have brushes or paper suited to wet media on hand.
