This pen puts two separate ink reservoirs in one barrel — solid black on one end, a softer transparent grey on the other — both running through Tombow's firm elastomer brush tip rather than a floppy felt tip, so the line stays controllable even for someone who hasn't practiced brush lettering. The two-tone setup is built around a specific bullet journal technique: write a header or block in black, then switch ends and add a grey shadow line just below or beside it for a quick faux-3D drop shadow effect, without needing a second pen.

The ink is a water-based pigment formula that dries water-resistant and smudge-proof, so it can be highlighted over later without smearing or bleeding into the highlighter color.
