This set covers a full hardness range in one box — 4H, 3H, 2H, H, F, HB, B, 2B, 3B, 4B, 5B, and 6B — one pencil of each grade, rather than several pencils at the same hardness. That range matters for drafting work that moves between hard, clean construction lines and soft, dark final marks within the same piece, since switching grades usually means switching pencils entirely rather than pressing harder or lighter with one. The graphite core itself is more densely packed than a standard pencil's, which is what gives the darker grades their depth without the lead breaking as easily under pressure.

The pencils are cedar wood with a glossy black lacquer finish and gold-embossed caps, and they come in a hard-shell case with a slide-off lid that lines the full set up for quick selection at a desk.
